Midweek Reset – November 29

The Midweek Reset comes out (usually) on Wednesdays, and is full of fun links, recipes, books, and articles to refresh your week. You can find previous Midweek Resets using the search bar, or check out last week’s Reset here.
Hello friends! How’s your week going?
I’ve spent much of this week operating not as vacationing-blogger but as small businesses owner, launching a new course. For those who don’t know – I run a small business offering trainings, mediation, and 1-1 coaching. I also run a choir for newcomers and have blended these two passions into a 5 week online course offering to help other arts organizations diversify. So I’ve been a bit distracted from the blog these last few days – but keen to reset regardless!
I’m planning my return back home to Canada to spend the holidays in my rural town, but I’m still lusting over Christmas markets across Europe.
After ten years spent in academia, this article (quiz?) to decipher your PhD from acclaimed horror films made me chuckle, and also revisit my “barely articulated sense of dread”.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I recently went to get my haircut while in England (because it’s easier to talk to the stylist whilst on holiday!). She styled my hair with some kind of hold spray, but when I’m at home I like to use this lovely smelling hair oil to moisturize my thin locks.

I plucked this novel out of my local Little Free Library, and thought it would be a junky read to get me through the plane trip to England. As it turns out, it seems to have rather more substance than initially thought and is pleasantly written. With themes of family, sexual assault, and relationships, it’s lightly written, but not light on content.
Since I’m currently writing this post from my perch at a wine bar in Cornwall, it seems only appropriate to share a link about how to create a blissful cheese board so I can try to retain this vibe when I get back to Canada.
Someone I follow on Instagram recently traveled to Georgia (the country). I had never considered Georgia as a holiday destination, but after watching their posts, it’s definitely on my wander-list. They stayed at this drool-worthy hotel.
I’ve got nearly two more weeks in the UK before returning to the land of ice and snow, so I’ll be soaking up the palm trees and enjoying wearing my spring jacket. Wishing you a lovely week.
